A harsh winter and a 2024, which was rough for my two girls and myself, we required extreme pampering. Before the pandemic, my family set out for a celebratory vacation for my husband’s birthday. We picked an adult only resort, all–inclusive, top–rated food and spa. The choice was Le Blanc Spa in Cancun. The stay was such a success, I knew a repeat performance would suit my friends.
Sharing Expenses
Pampering doesn’t come cheap. To make our splurge affordable, we booked four days, with the three of us sharing a room. Once you’re there, everything is included, except the spa services. Since we came for relaxation, we opted to plant ourselves at the resort. There would be no excursions during our short travel time.
Cancun Arrival
Two of us took off from New York, which simply takes 3 1/2 hours. My other friend flew from Ft Lauderdale, which merely takes. 1 1/2 hours. We had arranged transport and within a half hour, we were immediately whisked into the luxury of Le Blanc Spa. On arrival, they gave us a lovely drink and a nice cool cloth. Even the check in was easy. At an individual desk, an assistant guided us through the possibilities at the resort. Details handled, time to explore.
Butler
With no time to waste, we headed up to our room. Our butler came to introduce himself. The staff offered to unpack for us. We passed on that service, but this was like having a 24/7, 411. No matter what our needs, the butler was there providing help. This is a luxurious perk that uplifts the vacay.

When going to a resort, the pool area is its heart and soul. This is where Le Blanc shines. The pool overlooks a white sand and turquoise water beach. The ocean is moderately rough, but calming to view from our perches on the pool deck. There’s a second pool facing the Gulf. On the third floor, another smaller pool. Some evening entertainment and daytime activities occur here.

What makes this five-star standout is the services. My favorite is the attendant who appears at your lounge with cool cucuumbers for your eyes, then covered with a cooler cloth. This is uber relaxing.
There is a cart, which shows up with churros, a delicious cinnamon Mexican snack. Another cart passes by, making either white or red sangria. If wine isn’t your thing, you can swim up to the bar and order what you desire. Our lounges had a view of the baar and we enjoyed watching the bar keep working their craft. Don’t want to leave your lounge, you can have lunch brought to you.
Dining
The reason I picked Le Blanc was its top cuisine rating. There are other Cancun all–inclusive resorts I have stayed at, but none compare with the healthy, tasteful food experienced here.

Restaurants- Left to Right – Bella, Le Blanc, Yama, Lumiere and Terraza
Restaurants
The first night we ate at the Italian offering, Bella. The menu denotes a northern Italian fare, with light sauces and delicately prepared dishes. Night two was at Le Blanc. Here the food is a mélange of clean, well- prepared foods. You can get the catch of the day locally sourced or choose from an array of steaks, including a 42 oz Tomahawk. Night three we went to Yama. This is an elegant Japanese restaurant. The cuisine ranges from sashimi to wagyu beef. This was not your cheesy hibachi spot. Our last dinner was French. Lumiere is fine dining and requires a dress code. We got dressed up and looked forward to an epicurean meal. The offerings are classic French; however, they are created with modern twists. The rack of lamb was made with fermented eggplant purée. Terraza is a Mexican bistro that overlooks the ocean. Since we were only there for four nights, we missed out. Examining their menu, it has quite a fresh take on Mexican recipes. I must–try the next time I return.
Activities
With all the eating, drinking and pampering, there are healthy activities to keep you fit. There is a well–equipped exercise facility, paddleboard yoga, aquatic spinning and land–based yoga. For those that might want an alternative activity, there are craft classes too.
Musicians play entertainment at the pool. At night, there are unique acts. One of them was a mentalist who intrigued us about how he did it. Another evening, there were acrobats by the pool. Musical groups of various genres entertained us. Many choices if you want to take part.

Le Blanc Spa relaxation area and hydrotherapy pool
Spa
The spa facility is a beautifully designed relaxing haven. There are many treatments available.,There is a water journey included. We each booked a massage and a facial. I chose an Aroma touch massage and on another day I had an oxygen facial. The results were quite rejuvenating. My friends also enjoyed their therapies.
Conclusion
Many of my WTH readers have endured a rough winter. If you are looking for relief, then Le Blanc Spa is a wonderful antidote. For those of you who live on the West Coast, you can check out Le Blanc Spa in Cabo San Lucas. Another Le Blanc will open shortly in the Dominican Republic and future plans for one in Turks Caicos. Whichever you might choose, you will be thrilled with your Le Blanc choice.
