Yankees Swept by Astros

Ten days ago I was so thrilled that the Yankees had made it into the ALCS.  By last weekend my hopes were crushed, because the Astros swept the Yankees.  As a fan I feel somewhat embarrassed.  How does a team that did so well during the regular system show up as uncompetitive  in the second round of play offs.  Just my opinion, but they have not had a deep enough pitching staff to sustain a playoff.   The Astros pitching was exemplary, making our hitting to a minimal.  Asron Boone the manager will be back next year.

The harder question is will Aaron Judge be back? After beating Roger Maris’ record and hitting 62 home runs this year will the Yankees be able to afford him and some top pitching?  The answer  remains to be seen.  So was being a sports fan healthy for my psyche?  Yes, I’m putting baseball aside and now rooting for the New York football teams, that are doing well.  That’s the thing about being a sports fan, there is always another sport coming into season.
